What it costs to buy and sell
Two fees, both shown before anybody pays. Nothing to join, nothing to list.
Buyers: processing fee
Charged once, when you fund an order, on everything held in escrow for it. It covers card processing, and it is not refunded if the order is cancelled. This is the only fee a buyer pays.
Builders and sellers: commission
Taken once, when you withdraw your earnings. Money still held in escrow is never charged, so an order that is refunded costs you nothing.
New sellers: a short hold
Until you have completed 3 commissions, 10% of each payout is held for 30 days in case a card payment is reversed. It is still yours, and it is paid out when the hold ends.
Tips and memberships
Tips and paid Kommunity memberships carry a fixed $0.30 card fee per payment, taken from the creator so the supporter pays exactly the amount shown. The creator then withdraws it like any other earnings, with the 8% commission.

What is free
Creating an account, posting in the Kommunity, listing an item, posting a build request and sending a quote are all free. There is no subscription to sell.
Builders set their own shipping prices for each destination, and you see them before you pay. Shipping is part of the amount held in escrow, so the 3.5% processing fee applies to it as well.
